Mainory

Terms of service

This is placeholder text pending legal review.

These terms will govern your use of Mainory: creating an account, ordering personalized tales, subscriptions and credits, printed books, acceptable use, and how either of us can end the relationship. They are being prepared for legal review and will be published here before launch.

Three commitments are already fixed and will appear in the final terms unchanged — how AI-generated content works, what you agree to when you share a photo of your child, and the rules for voice cloning. They are set out in the sections below.

AI-generated content

Mainory tales, illustrations, and narration are created with artificial-intelligence (AI) models from the questionnaire answers you provide. By ordering a tale you acknowledge that the story is generated, not hand-written, for your child. We commit in turn that every tale passes a review against a psychologist-designed checklist before you see it, that you approve the story text before illustrations are produced, and that your child's information is used solely to create their own tales — never for advertising, and never shared beyond the processors that power generation.

Child photos

Uploading a photo of your child is optional. If you do, you confirm that you hold the rights to the photo and consent to its AI processing before any processing happens. We use the photo for exactly one thing — generating a stylized, illustrated character sheet of your child (photorealistic rendering of children is never produced) — keep it only in dedicated temporary storage with an automatic deletion rule, and delete it as soon as the character sheet is generated. A no-photo path is always available: if you skip the upload, or a provider safety check declines the photo, the character is built from your questionnaire answers instead.

Voice cloning

If you choose narration in your own voice, you may clone only your own voice — never a child's and never another person's. You must pass our voice provider's consent verification, which confirms that the voice being recorded belongs to you, alongside the consent we record ourselves. The clone is used solely to narrate the tales on your account, and when you close your account it is deleted, including from the provider's systems.
