Mainory is a service for parents: you order a personalized therapeutic fairy tale, and your child is its hero. That means we handle information about your family with particular care. This page will set out, in plain language, what we collect (account details, order records, and the questionnaire answers a tale needs), why we collect it, how long we keep it, who processes it for us, and the rights you have over it — including deleting your account and everything connected to it at any time.

Until the reviewed policy replaces this text, the three sections below are our standing commitments. They describe how we use AI, how we treat photos of your child, and how voice cloning works — and they apply today, regardless of the final legal wording.

AI story generation

Mainory stories, illustrations, and narration are generated with artificial-intelligence (AI) models. When you complete the questionnaire, the answers you provide about your child — name, age, appearance, interests, and what they are growing through — are used solely to generate your child's own tales. We collect only the minimum information a story needs, and every generated tale is checked against a psychologist-designed review checklist before it is shown to you. Your child's details are shared only with the processors that power generation, under data-processing agreements, and are never used for advertising or profiling.

Photos of your child

Uploading a photo of your child is always optional. If you choose to upload one, we first ask for your explicit consent — confirming you hold the rights to the photo and agree to its AI processing — before any processing happens. The photo is used for one purpose only: creating a stylized, illustrated character sheet of your child (never a photorealistic image). Photos are stored solely in a dedicated temporary bucket with an automatic deletion rule and are deleted as soon as the character sheet is generated. If you prefer not to upload a photo, a fully functional no-photo path is always available: we build your child's character from the questionnaire answers instead.

Voice cloning

Narration can use one of our preset voices or a clone of your own voice — and only your own. We never clone a child's voice or anyone else's. Creating a voice clone requires you to pass our voice provider's consent verification, which confirms that the voice being recorded is yours, and we record your consent on our side as well. Your voice clone is used solely to narrate the tales on your account, and it is permanently deleted — including from the provider's systems — when you close your account.
